I always begin by gaining a deep understanding of your business goals, customer needs, the market context, applicable technologies, and available resources.
I want to meet key stakeholders—executives, engineers, data scientists, product and design teams—to immerse myself in your business.
My user-centered methodology begins with comprehensive customer research as a way to inform the design process.
This qualitative inquiry unlocks insights, opportunities, and solutions businesses typically haven’t considered. The resulting personas ensure your customers are represented in the design process.
Now we’ll have an informed hypothesis about where we should focus to ensure the end product is feasible to build based on your team’s strengths, is user-friendly and beautiful, and drives adoption and scale.

What should we build?
Product Definition
I draw upon eight years of designing products to develop a product design thesis.
The thesis gains fidelity with user journey mapping and diagrams of core workflows that ensure we’re set up to anticipate and meet users’ needs.
Sprint planning ensures we are set up for success once aligned on a minimum viable product (MVP) feature set and platform strategy (desktop, mobile web, iOS, Android, etc.).

We sprint from proof of concept to minimum viable product to production-ready release, focusing on the components with the highest value and most significant impact.
We see what works and do more of it: we dig in the data, measure and interpret, and design new initiatives to continue the transformation we’ve started.

Our relationship evolves from partner to advisor at this stage. You can depend on me to go further, but you don’t rely on my availability to take the next step.
