AI Prompting Patterns

Prompt structures, chaining experiments, and results from working with generative tools in design contexts.

The question

How can we effectively integrate Large Language Models into a UX workflow without losing human intuition?

The approach

By structuring prompts with specific constraints and tone guidelines, we see dramatically improved consistency in generative output.

Playground

Prompt anatomy

Switch parts of a prompt on and off to see how much structure it carries.

You are a product designer reviewing an onboarding flow.

The flow has five steps. Most people drop off at step three, where we ask for permissions.

Suggest improvements.

Keep all five steps. Do not propose new features. Every suggestion must be testable within a week.

Be direct and specific. No filler, no praise.

Answer as a numbered list: the issue, why it matters, one change.

This is a live experiment from the lab. Findings, structures, and assets are subject to change as the exploration continues.
