Typography Studies

Font pairing explorations, scale hierarchies, and editorial type treatments for different contexts.

The question

Exploring the interplay between high-contrast serifs and clean geometric sans-serifs.

The approach

The relationship between line-height, line-length, and optical sizing is central to these tests.

Change one variable at a time and watch the hierarchy hold, or break.

    Clarity before building.

Every remaining element has to work harder.

When there are fewer elements on the screen, each one carries more responsibility. Type scale, spacing, labels, and states need more precision, not less. This is why minimal interfaces often take longer. There is nowhere for weak hierarchy or vague copy to hide.

    Experiment notes

This is a live experiment from the lab. Findings, structures, and assets are subject to change as the exploration continues.
